        My name is Tracy Michele Mahoney.  I was born in Dallas, Texas but I grew up in Davie, Florida.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University, and I have been teaching since 2002.  I am married and I have three children. I have two boys (Nicholas and Michael) and a girl (Lexie).  I have been with Somerset Academy since the beginning of my career because I enjoy the students and the support you receive from the parents and administration. Somerset Academy is also where my five year old son attends kindergarten and my husband teaches high school mathematics.   I enjoy teaching very much, and I love getting up and coming to work each day.  I believe all children work at different levels and are great at different things.  I also challenge all of my students because I believe they will produce at the level they are expected to.  There is never one way to do anything in life, and I love learning from my students as well as watching their faces light up when they learn something new.  I believe parents and teachers need to work as a team in order for their children to be successful.  I spend most of the day with your children and I consider them my children.  I want to see them grow and accomplish their goals as much as you do.
