My name is Ms. La Cava. I have been teaching now, for six years. I graduated from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and I am also ESOL endorsed. Throughout, my teaching experience, I have really acquired an awareness of student educational needs inside the classroom.

As an educator, my commitment and primary responsibility is to the well-being of each student who crosses my path. I believe in striving to meet the individual needs: basic, educational and unique interests, of each student. I believe learning is intrinsic and that children, as well as adults, must view objectives to be meaningful by making connections to oneself, another person, or past experiences. As connections are made, learning expands. In addition, creating a positive, fun and structured learning environment also facilitates learning in a more significant way. Students are engaged in discussions and activities and forget that learning is in effect. I am a firm believer that every child can learn and succeed with love, care, patience and guidance from a teacher.
