Mrs. Gervais was born and raised in Michigan and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Emphasis from Western Michigan University. She taught in various Preschools in Michigan, Massachusetts and Maryland and then got married and moved to Arizona. While in Arizona, she taught Kindergarten for three years in a public school. Mrs. Gervais chose to stay home after the birth of her first daughter and operated a Family Home Day Care after the birth of her second daughter. After moving to Florida and her second daughter‘s entrance into Kindergarten, Mrs. Gervais returned to teaching full time here at Somerset. Mrs. Gervais has taught Pre-K at Somerset Academy since it opened in 2000. Even as her own children and her former students keep getting older; Mrs. Gervais still enjoys teaching the little ones best and she is looking forward to another year of teaching Pre-K at Somerset.
