I have been teaching 4th and 5th grade at Somerset Academy for six years. I have a bachelors and masters degree in education and taught fourth grade in New York before coming to Florida. I use the newspaper and other publications such as the AAA Florida Tour Books in my classroom. I feel that since our world is so global, it is important that we focus our learning beyond the classroom.
