Hello!

 My name is Mrs. Capiro.  I teach Physical Education (K-5).  I was born and raised here in South Florida.  I graduated from Harding University with an Elementary Education degree.  I decided to focus on Physical Education and took additional courses at Florida International University.  Later, I received my Master’s degree in Physical Education from Nova Southeastern University.  I taught several years in Dade County Public Schools and then was blessed to stay home for awhile to raise our children. I am starting my sixth year at Somerset Academy.  I love my area of education.  Teaching the students new skills and helping them become aware of the importance of exercise is very rewarding.  My classes focus on skill development and personal fitness.  It is my goal to have my students become knowledgeable of their responsibility for their current and future physical well-being.  Finally, I encourage my students to be confident and to work towards being the best that they can be.
