Hello, my name is Jessica
Brach and this is my 6th year teaching at
Somerset Academy. For my first two years I taught
Kindergarten, the last three years I taught Pre-K and
now I am excited to be teaching Kindergarten again.
I was born and raised in
Chicago, Illinois. My freshman year of high school I
started working in the child care field. My mother owns
a daycare center where I began as a high school helper,
and then moved on to become an assistant, teacher and
assistant director. I have been working with children
ages ranging from 15 months-12 years old for as long as
I can remember.
I graduated from Eastern
Illinois University with my Bachelor’s and Master’s
Degree. At that time I decided to go into the social
work field. When I moved to Florida 6 years ago I was a
social worker. I worked with children that were in
foster care, the judicial system, or children that were
having problems in school or home. I offered them the
extra support that they needed.
